The Professor had a bit of fun with his MythBusters class today:An egg-drop build-off.
The goal? Drop an egg from 4 stories up and have it survive the fall with no cracks or other damage.
The results? Out of the nine original drops, 3 eggs cracked and 6 survived.
(This egg did not survive. It had a small crack in the side.)

fun! My dad used to help the science olympiad kids with a pretty competitive egg drop contraption. They had to not only keep the egg from cracking at all, but get somewhere near the bullseye.
