ATE Kids

We had a visitor at our house today. A little mouse. Mousey announced his/her presence by leaving the pieces of a candy wrapper on the range hood. "What is this foil doing up here?", I asked. I soon found out!

Martin was able to catch our guest. We called the kids and let them see our visitor. Then we escorted Mousey outside to the field.

Good by, Mousey. Please don't come back.

Tanner had a surprise for me today: his first library book! It's a book about dinosaurs. He turned it (and the wrapper from his snack) into a video game for this movie.

I know this blog is for the kids, but...

Martin's birthday was today! Alia helped decorate his cake. She did the flower decorations in the corners of the cake.

New games for the Wii arrived today. What is he playing?

BoomBloxx. "This is a good game for a physicist.", he said.

Some semi-random pictures from the day. The girls made "houses" in the basement. The homes have patios, bunk beds, and other assorted amenities!

Tanner talked Dad into playing computer games. They look pretty serious in this shot. There are lots of giggles and "all-right" sorts of comments coming from the two of them now!

Here it is: the first day of school. Alia was off early to catch her bus to the third grade. Tanner has an extra minute or two before he walks to kindergarten with Dad.

We got to meet the teachers last night. It looks like it will be a good school year!

It's 9:57 pm. Guess who took at nap today?

Yup...that's her, my little book worm.

Usually, I let her read and talk and play upstairs in bed. However, tomorrow is the first day of school, and little miss wide-awake was keeping her older sister wide awake too.

The "fish that got away" was Elena in this pose, singing to the storybook...it was a song about ice cream and Aladin...and I missed capturing it on film! Too cute.
